Embracing the spirit of “rain or shine,” Jessika and Kyle embarked on their lifelong adventure one chilly November day, enveloped by the warmth of their loved ones. 22 Acres Farm was honored to play a role in making their wedding-day dreams come true.

How Their Story Began

Jessika and Kyle met online in 2017 and quickly hit it off. Life together seemed to just make sense, and their progression was almost effortless. From buying a home together to welcoming their dog Harley to the family. Their happy life together led to the biggest step a couple can make on the adventure of romantic relationships, engagement!

“About 2 years after that we bought our house, got engaged, and added four more paws to our family when we adopted our next dog, Maggie!”

The Engagement

In December 2020, shortly after purchasing their new home, Jessika and Kyle invited their families over to see their new place. Little did Jessika know, Kyle had something up his sleeve.

When the couple arrived at their new home, everyone was already waiting patiently in their living room. To further her surprise, Jessika found “Marry Me” spelled out in rose petals and candles on the floor.

“Kyle got down on one knee in front of our families and asked me to marry him and I said YES!”

All In The Planning

The couple got busy planning their “rustic elegance” themed wedding, with the help of a miracle-working wedding coordinator. Finding the right wedding venue is an essential step in the planning process. Fortunately, once they found 22 Acres Farm, they knew it would be the one to make their dreams a reality.

Their Rain or Shine Wedding

When asked why they chose 22 Acres Farm, Jessika shared:

“The barn fits both of our personalities so well! I love that there was so much we could do with [the space] to make it OUR day!”

And make it their day they did, even when mother nature had other plans.

Rain or Shine, It’s Time for “I Do”

The couple originally planned to tie the knot in our Barnyard, but the weather did not permit it. Fortunately, our venue provides multiple options and works closely with our couples to create backup plans for circumstances just like these. With the couple’s dreams in mind, we transformed our venue to match it.

Thanks to a crystal-clear picture of the bride’s vision—and a killer backup plan—we were able to move things inside of our Barn without losing a bit of elegance. We understand that weather does not always cooperate, which is why we help all our couples come up with a plan for inclement weather.

After the couple said, “I Do!”, we quickly transformed our Barn space once again to prepare for their reception. Their guests enjoyed a catered BBQ dinner and a fun assortment of sweets and treats.

They used our Honey Hive Beverage Trailer for the bar, and, even with the rainy weather, guests made their way outside for their drinks.
