On a sweet summer day in June, Hannah and Elijah celebrated their love with a charming Columbus Ohio wedding at the picturesque 22 Acres Farm. Their special day was as joyful and heartfelt as their love, with the farm in full summer splendor providing the perfect backdrop. Featuring rustic charm and boho chic details, the event was effortlessly beautiful, reflecting their natural and timeless love story.

From College Friendship to Forever

When Hannah and Elijah met during their freshman year of college, the pair initially bonded over game nights and swing dancing. Before long, they became close friends; then, as naturally as can be, friendship turned to romance, and romance matured into love.

Finally, late at night during spring break 2023, Elijah popped the question just after Hannah had finished working on a big paper for class. The two stood alone in the kitchen as he pulled her into a warm embrace. Then, to Hannah’s surprise, Elijah sank to one knee to ask her to share their love and friendship forever.

Choosing 22 Acres Farm

As the pair began their planning, they were looking for a reasonably priced venue that would give them the scenic, open-air vibe they wanted while still allowing them to add a touch of boho charm. Just outside Columbus, Ohio, 22 Acres Farm offered tranquil fields, and natural, down-to-earth ambiance, creating the perfect setting for their wedding day vision. In Hannah’s words,

“We chose 22 Acres Farm because of the affordability [and] the natural beauty. The barn is gorgeous, and we really wanted to have an outdoors/natural/rustic feel.”

One of the couple’s favorite things about our venue was having access to the Something Borrowed Room for their decor needs. They found an abundance of items in our supply that fit their tastes, including the hexagonal arch they used for the ceremony.

The reception was adorned with additional items, such as garlands, flameless candles, fairy lights, lanterns, wooden rounds, food stands, and much more. These touches let them add their own unique flair to the big day and avoid the stress and expense of finding each item on their own.

A Moment Made for Two

Before the ceremony, Hannah and Elijah shared a quiet, intimate moment in our sweeping fields dotted with delicate wildflowers overlooking the Columbus Ohio countryside. Under the heavens of wispy clouds and pale blue, they exchanged joyful glances and tender kisses, their emotions overflowing in every shot that immortalized their pre-ceremony bliss.

The Charming Gazebo Ceremony of Their Dreams

The ceremony, held in front of the farm’s rustic-modern gazebo, was nothing short of magical. As the couple stood before the officiant, a gentle breeze kissed the bride’s veil and ruffled the delicate, gauzy fabric that draped the arch with its arrangements of vibrant peach, fiery orange, burnt umber, and white. The afternoon Columbus skies cast a soft glow over the scene, and there was a sense of calm and joy in the air as Hannah and Elijah exchanged their promises in the presence of friends and loved ones.

Celebrating in Style with a Fun, Yet Elegant Barn Reception

After the ceremony, guests gathered in the barn, which was elegantly decorated in mint green, neutral tones, and soft floral touches. Long farmhouse tables were arranged along the window wall to accommodate the couple and their sizable wedding party of twenty-two people. Everyone enjoyed a refreshing mocktail hour before dining on veggie trays and the couple’s favorite food—pizza.

A Joyful Night of Dancing, Love, and Laughter

After refreshments and dining, it was time to party! The couple and their guests joyfully danced to the DJ’s tunes well into the evening. As the sunset fell, everyone reveled in the magic of this unforgettable occasion.

The Beginning of Forever Together

Soon, it was time for the couple to bid their party farewell and officially begin their new lives together. This charming yet elegant Columbus, Ohio wedding celebration at 22 Acres Farm was a worthy testament to their classic, uncomplicated love story.
