Lauren + Steele’s Abundance of Love

Autumn is symbolic of the harvest and of abundance. On a beautiful, sunny weekend in mid-October 2022, Lauren and Steele shared their own abundance of love with friends and family as they exchanged wedding vows at 22 Acres Farm in the stunning Ohio countryside.

It’s a Match!

Lauren and Steele’s love story began like many do in today’s modern world, on a dating app. Lauren tells the story much better than we ever could, so we will let her do the talking:

“We had both recently downloaded the app to try out. Surprisingly enough, we were both each other’s first “match.” We chatted for a while, which eventually turned into texting, which lead to our first date.”

Steele picked her up at her apartment that evening and the two had an evening neither of them expected to turn into such a romance.

“We sat there chatting up a storm and smiling for hours. I don’t even remember what time I got home that night! We’ve been writing our story ever since.”

Moving Forward

As their romance progressed, it became clear that their lives were meant to be together, and Steele began making plans to propose. Steele drove the two hours to the home of Lauren’s parents to ask their permission for her hand in marriage, and then he started planning.

Steele set everything up at a nearby lake, and Lauren arrived thinking they were going to help with an event for their friends. After arriving, Lauren started noticing that something was off,

“When we got close, I started to realize what was happening after reading the signs that were standing up in the grass. One of our friends was there taking pictures of us walking and country love songs were playing in the background. At the end of the walkway there was a blanket, flowers, and champagne. Steele gave me a little speech while on one knee. I said YES!”

Boats passing by cheered on the happy couple while the family watched secretly from afar. It was time to make things official!

Love, Laughter, and Happily Ever After

Lauren and Steele chose 22 Acres Farm because they “fell in love with the rustic, country look.” As lovers of the country, they knew they wanted to marry in the barn, as it fit both of their personalities so well.

Decorating for their special day was simple, and the theme they went with was moody and rustic romance. Lauren loved the fact that “the venue already gave life within itself and [we] were excited that we only had to put a few of our own touches to make it our perfect wedding.”

This happy couple wanted to make sure they had plenty of time to celebrate with their many loved ones, so they opted for a two-day rental. This is an option available to all guests who want a little extra time to decorate, or to host a rehearsal dinner the night before the ceremony.

When the day came to exchange vows, everything came together perfectly. The sun was shining, and this beautiful couple said, “I Do,” surrounded by an abundance of loved ones.
