Nicole + Josh‘s Fall Country Wedding

The Ohio countryside outside of Columbus provides the perfect setting for a fall country wedding. Fall also happens to be one of our favorite times of the wedding season. For Nicole and Joshua, Mid-October provided the PERFECT backdrop for their romance to start a new chapter.

Modern Love

Love can come at strange times, and in the most unexpected places. For Nicole and Joshua, it all started with a swipe to the right. In her own words, Nicole explained,

“We met on Bumble, swiping right on each other!”

Both having experience in the world of love, they had clearer pictures of what they were looking for in a partner. Nicole and Josh quickly learned that what they were searching for truly was each other. Joshua’s two children also quickly learned to love and accept Nicole into their lives.

From Wine to Yeses

As lovers of wine, this couple has made it a tradition to visit Amish Country each year for a little wine tasting for Nicole’s birthday. In 2021, Josh made reservations to stay overnight at one of their favorite wineries.

Having called ahead for permission, Josh took his sweetheart on a romantic stroll through the grapevines. Though he was nervous, Josh got down on one knee to propose, but not before his nerves took hold.

“While we were walking, he got down on one knee and forgot everything he was actually going to say!”

Surprised and thrilled, Nicole accepted his proposal, and the two quickly got to work planning their special day.

Glamorous Countryside Vibes

22 Acres Farm had been a location on Nicole’s horizon for quite a while. She recalled the days when she used to pass the barn on Davis Road as a shortcut from the hospital she worked at to Josh’s house.

“It was always just so pretty in the fall, the trees lining the road, all the fall colors. It was a pretty view to unwind after a night of work. I was so excited when I saw they were opening a wedding venue.”

With Nicole’s wedding style being glamorous boho with a countryside, rustic vibe, the barn set the perfect romantic scene for the wedding she had dreamed of.

I Do

Our exterior ceremony location is a picturesque setting to exchange vows. Overlooking the farms vast countryside, and several arch options, it is the perfect backdrop for any wedding style.

For Nicole and Josh, they kept the arch decor beautiful, simple, and glamorous.

Details, Details, Details

One of our favorite attributes about our venue is the details it can provide. From exposed board ceilings to options to drape and hang décor, the Barn is a wonderful and warm location for colder season celebrations.

We love the fall details incorporated by Nicole and Josh. From candles, pumpkins, and pies to natural fall colors, their vision and style fit perfectly into the beautiful backdrop that this perfect October day provided.
