A Serendipitous Reunion: The Wedding of Kendall + Kody
Every love story is special. However, some stories, such as Kendall’s and Kody’s serendipitous reunion, are remarkable. It was in the middle of September when 22 Acres Farm celebrated the day fate brought these two childhood friends back together with a much-awaited wedding day.
The Early Years
Kendall and Kody’s bond started forming during their early years, as Kody was inseparable from Kendall’s brother. Growing up side by side, they made countless memories together. But, as life goes, life took its course and circumstances caused them to lose touch.
Nearly a decade later, the two unexpectedly crossed paths at Walmart. The two reminisced about old times, sparking a rush of nostalgia as the two chatted. Excited to reconnect, Kendall and Kody exchanged contact information and began chatting on Facebook.
The Proposal
Love blossomed quickly between Kendall and Kody as they rekindled their friendship. Their bond grew stronger with each passing day, and soon, Kody knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Kendall.
Choosing the breathtaking Red River Gorge in Kentucky as the setting, Kody planned a romantic sunset hike. It was during this excursion that Kody dropped to one knee behind Kendall, surprising her with a heartfelt proposal. Overwhelmed with joy and emotion, Kendall tearfully accepted, sealing their commitment to a lifetime of love and happiness.
Anticipating Forever
Excited and ready to tie the knot, Kendall and Kody began planning for their wedding day. The two decided on a theme that was both rustic and boho, and they were thrilled when they found our Barn and 22 Acres Farm. When asked why they ultimately chose us, Kendall replied,
“It has everything we were looking for in a venue. The owners are amazing to work with!”
And honestly, that’s all we could hope to hear! Planning for their wedding was a joy—filled with laughter, excitement, and endless possibilities. Kendall and Kody envisioned a day that would not only celebrate their love but also reflect their personalities and shared journey.
The Wedding
When the time came for the happy couple to tie the knot, their loved ones poured in to celebrate with them. And then, on a beautiful fall day in Ohio, Kendall and Kody exchanged their wedding vows at our rustic Barn venue.
The weather was picture-perfect, with a gentle breeze and the warm sun shining down on them as they shared their love with each other. Beautiful countryside surrounding the Barn and charming details added by the bride and groom created a rustic and intimate setting for their ceremony.
The Reception
After their heartfelt ceremony, the festivities continued as guests moved to the reception area in the Barn. Everyone was treated to a delicious catered meal, and the open bar served a variety of refreshing drinks to toast to the happy couple. As the evening unfolded, Kendall and Kody shared their first dance as a married couple, eventually leading to lots more laughter, dancing, and celebration.
