Where Their Story Began

Brianna and Jacob met at a football game—only to later realize that they had known each other since they were children. The two hit it off and started talking, and soon their connection grew into something more.

While getting to know each other better, the couple soon realized another coincidence: Jacob worked with her dad. While it seemed stressful at first, the two quickly realized how little it mattered in the path of their life. Brianna recalled,

“The more we talked the more we fell for each other.

Little did we know that it was the start of our journey together.”

The Proposal

In late January 2021, Jacob and Brianna made plans to visit a park that Jacob and his friend had stumbled upon. Snowing, cold, and beautiful outside, the couple bundled up and set off on their adventure.

While walking along the river, Jacob stepped up higher to see the ice on the surface. When he suggested they take a picture, Brianna turned around to find him down on one knee.

“It was the happiest day ever knowing I get to spend the rest of my life with my person.”

As a self-proclaimed DIY Bride, Brianna loved the freedom and flexibility 22 Acres Farm offers their couples. Our Barn space was the perfect canvas for their dreams, and this couple got busy planning their forever.

Getting Ready

Our Bridal Suite proved to be the perfect space for this beautiful bride and her bridal party to prepare for the day. The ladies (and little ladies) soaked in every moment, making precious memories to last a lifetime

The Décor

For the theme, Brianna and Jacob went with “rustic elegance,” featuring soft greens and light colors.

Between items selected from our Something Borrowed Room and the bride’s own special touches, our venue was transformed.

I Do’s and Wedding Flowers

While the original plan was to hold their ceremony outside, the springtime weather had other ideas.

Fortunately for Brianna and Jacob, rain on your wedding day is considered good luck, as it is said to signify a lasting marriage.

“To be here now and having the wedding I have always dreamed of with my best friend is so amazing and such a blessing.”

The Celebration

We were able to easily transition inside for their ceremony, followed by a cocktail hour downstairs, while we seamlessly prepared the upper level for the reception.

From first dances and cutting the cake—to speeches and special toasts, Brianna and Jacob’s reception did not disappoint!
