The Joyous Union of LaTisha + Cameron
As the old wives’ tale goes, “If you wed in bleak November, only joys will come, remember.” For LaTisha and Cameron, this rang true on their joyous union early last November at 22 Acres Farm.
How Their Story Began
LaTisha and Cameron met in an acting class in high school, and when the time came for their school prom, he asked her to be his date. This led to the two falling in love as high school sweethearts, embarking on their journey together.
After high school, LaTisha and Cameron were both taking some adult education classes at a local career center. One day during their nursing assistant skills training class, Cameron surprised his sweetheart by getting down on one knee and asking her to be his wife.
All in the Details
LaTisha and Cameron wanted a wedding that was both rustic and elegant, and they got busy searching for the perfect location. When they found 22 Acres Farm, LaTisha said, “I fell in love with it the first time I saw it,” and the rest was history.
Besides some selections from our Something Borrowed Room, the beautiful flowers and much of the decor were DIY. The couple also opted for an alcohol-free wedding instead of hiring a bartender, both excellent ways to keep stress and costs down.
When we asked the bride if she had any advice for future couples, her advice was simple:
“Don’t stress too much! It will all fall into place!”
And truly, we couldn’t agree more. At 22 Acres Farm, we do our best to make your wedding day go as smoothly as possible, lessening the stress that couples inevitably deal with.
Their Joyous Union
LaTisha and Cameron were joined by their friends and family, who were thrilled to celebrate their love, to exchange their vows. The lower level of the Barn was the perfect space for both the ceremony and the reception held afterwards.
Guests enjoyed the delicious food catered by Chef Steve, a Columbus-area favorite, with steaks and potatoes that looked as amazing as they tasted! After dinner, cake, and some of the more formal wedding traditions, the bride and groom changed into more comfortable clothes, and the dancing and celebrations continued with the help of a local DJ.
Though couples are free to use any vendor of their choosing, we have put together a list of some favorite vendors we have worked with that is provided when you book with us.
LaTisha and Cameron, thank you for allowing us to be part of your joyous union! From all of us at 22 Acres Farm, congratulations once again. Wishing you and your beautiful little family a lifetime filled with love, happiness, and cherished memories.
