Hannah + Isaac’s Beautiful June Wedding
22 Acres Farm kicked off the 2023 wedding season with the beautiful union of Hannah and Isaac, who celebrated their love with an early June wedding. Surrounded by friends and loved ones, this happy couple said, “I Do” amid our beautiful farmland outside Columbus, Ohio.
Their Story
For some lucky couples, the path to happily ever after begins early on. This is especially true of Hannah and Isaac. The two met in kindergarten but became close in High School. These best friends soon realized their friendship was something special, and the rest is history!
The two have already overcome many challenges, like years with long distances between them, and both working hard to finish school. Their goals, however, always remained the same: to live life side by side.
The Proposal
Although life was crazy, Isaac knew it was the right time to start planning for the future with Hannah. Since our lovely bride does such a great job telling it, we’ll let Hannah tell you about the beautiful moment Isaac asked her to be his wife:
“Isaac could not have done any better! He knows I am not one for big flashy moments in public and planned the sweetest proposal on the property behind our house. I had just gotten home [from] work, changed, and walked out to a path of rose [petals] and candles leading to him standing under a flower covered arch. It was the best moment to have my parents and our dog, Millie, right there with us after it happened.”
Back to Their Roots
Eager to join in marriage, Hannah and Isaac got busy planning for “I Do.” Despite their busy schedules in their final year of graduate school and the bride-to-be applying for veterinary school, the happy couple gracefully planned for their wedding from different states.
They went with a western-bohemian theme and were thrilled when they discovered 22 Acres Farm. Here’s more about why we were their first choice:
“We knew we wanted a venue that would point to our roots. Both of our families have come from farming backgrounds, and we both have a love for agriculture. Getting married in a place that shares the same values while also having the visual effects we wanted was perfect!”
Planning their June Wedding
22 Acres Farm works hard to handle the heavy lifting for our couples, making their wedding day that much easier. Hannah and Isaac used several selections from our “Vendors We Love” list, a free offering for couples after they book with us. While we don’t have any major restrictions on vendors—this list highlights some companies we have worked with who love their “jobs” as much as we do.
A local event coordinator handled the “day of” organization, easily eliminating the typical stress-inducers that inevitably come with any wedding. With our help, this happy couple had both Plan A and Plan B in place. This ensured they were ready to gracefully overcome any obstacle.
The Decor
Hannah and Isaac’s long-distance planning didn’t stop them from creating the wedding day of their dreams. Their western-bohemian-themed wedding perfectly matched the stunning countryside surrounding 22 Acres Farm. They loved our “Something Borrowed Room,” another free offering for couples who book with us.
This room features a selection of beautiful décor options, and the couple used many items to perfect their dream. Something borrowed refers to a popular old saying, and we love the gesture it offers, adding borrowed happiness to the wedding day of others. Hannah and Isaac took this notion seriously and were kind enough to pass on some special items for couples to use for years to come.
An Early June Wedding
When the day came for Hannah and Isaac to tie the knot, their wedding day truly turned out perfectly. The couple tied the knot in our rustic barnyard, with the warm June weather making it the perfect day to say, “I Do.” We perfected the setting using our grain bin gazebo, which was decorated to provide the perfect backdrop.
