A Weekday Wedding for a Lasting Couple

Here at 22 Acres Farm, we pride ourselves on making your special day exactly that—your special day. Joslin and Owen’s union as husband and wife was nothing short of beautiful, and we are grateful to have been a part of their wedding day.

On a lovely Thursday afternoon, Joslin and Owen said, “I Do!” in our beautiful Barn space, surrounded by one hundred of their closest. But first, a little more about their love story.

Where Forever Began

From their start as friends in junior high, Joslin and Owen’s relationship grew into more. These friends became inseparable and started dating their freshman year of high school. After years together, these two continued to grow in life and in love.

It was important to Joslin that they wait to get married until after she finished nursing school, and Owen supported her on this. Three weeks after graduation, Owen took his sweetheart on a picnic by the pond on campus and asked her to be his wife!

“We [have] accomplished so many life goals together and we can’t wait to see what [the] future holds for us!”

Naturally, it was time to plan their happily ever after!

When this happy couple started planning for their wedding day, they searched far and wide for a barn space that was just right.

“The location was hard to pass up! And everything was set up just how I imagined!”

Keeping it Simple

Instead of getting overwhelmed by the chaos that comes with planning a wedding, this couple kept it simple. They went with a boho/rustic theme, and their vision truly came together beautifully.

Minimal decorations and white blooms complemented the Barn’s natural beauty. The couple opted to use the beautiful fields surrounding 22 Acres Farm as their backdrop—a beautiful addition to an already lovely day.

When planning their wedding, this couple could not wait to celebrate their love together. They especially looked forward to dancing with their growing family and dearest friends!

Joslin and Owen opted for an alcohol-free wedding, rather than worry about hiring a bartender. This is another excellent way for our couples to cut down on costs, no matter their reasoning. Although not used for this occasion, our Honey Hive Beverage Trailer can be used for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at any event.
