Date Nights Forever: Liz + Bryce’s Journey to “I Do”
From halfway meet ups to committing to date nights forever in the heart of our little slice of heaven, Liz and Bryce’s love story is something worth writing about. Late last October, 22 Acres Farm had the pleasure of hosting Liz and Bryce as they exchanged vows of love and commitment before their cherished family and friends.
How They Met
Liz and Bryce’s love story began like so many in today’s modern world: online. Living around an hour apart was a minor inconvenience, but after speaking for a while, the two decided to meet in the middle, both driving to the Dawes Arboretum—a tree and nature conservation not far from Venue @ 22. Liz and Bryce continued to meet halfway, often visiting the location of their first date.
After a year of getting to know each other, falling in love, and meeting in the middle, Liz and Bryce decided to move into a town home together. From there, they adopted their dog, Josie, which quickly led to buying their first home together with plenty of room for her to run.
The Proposal
Liz and Bryce truly love their time together, often taking off to chase a sunset or dressing up to check out new restaurants and enjoy each other. One evening, on a trip to Cleveland, the two were taking in a beautiful sunset. Liz wanted to test out her new camera lens when a woman offered to take their picture.
Bryce took advantage of the moment and surprised both Liz and the stranger, capturing the moment Bryce dropped down on one knee and asked Liz to be his wife. She immediately said yes, and the two got busy planning their wedding shortly thereafter.
Planning for Wedded Bliss
When it came time to plan for their special day, Liz took some real-world personal experience to heart and hired a wedding day event coordinator. As a wedding photographer, she has seen it all, and even shares a little about hiring someone:
“I have seen brides have to stress about everything on the day of because they didn’t hire one and every vendor is trying to set up upon arrival and contact [the bride] when the bride should be relaxed and enjoying her time with her friends and family. Let them handle the timeline, vendors, and overall flow of the day. You will appreciate it on your wedding day.”
And honestly, you can see in every single photo just how in-the-moment, relaxed, happy, and in love Liz and Bryce truly are—and that’s what it’s all about!
To make things even simpler, the couple utilized many items from our Something Borrowed Room—a beautiful collection of items from backdrops and draperies to table numbers and dessert platters that we offer to those who book with us. Liz and Bryce chose Venue @ 22 because of its beauty and the flexibility we offer to our couples with no vendor restrictions.
Date Nights Forever
When the time came for Liz and Bryce to tie the knot, loved ones gathered from near and far to celebrate the happy couple. A dear friend officiated their ceremony in our beautiful, sunny barnyard, and all in attendance were thrilled to witness their union as husband and wife.
A cocktail hour kicked off celebrations while the photographer got a few more great shots of the family and the happy couple. Between their first dance, time admiring the sunset, and love from those that mean the most, Liz and Bryce enjoyed every moment of their wedding day.
Thank you for letting us take part in your love story, Liz and Bryce. From everyone here at Venue @ 22, we wish you a lifetime of joy as husband and wife.
