Paige and Hunter embraced every moment, from navigating Plan A to finding beauty in Plan B and beyond, truly embodying the brightness that follows the storm. Their journey is a perfect example of how unexpected joy shines through, and we were honored to share in their special day.

Missed You by a Year or So

Paige and Hunter’s love story began when they met as coworkers in 2016, only to later realize that they both went to the same high school. What started out as a professional working relationship quickly evolved into the flourishing love that is so clearly visible between them.

Over the years, Paige and Hunter’s relationship flourished and grew, and the two knew more than anyone that they wanted to remain within each other’s lives. One day, while discussing their shared love for each other and desire to spend the rest of their lives together, Hunter surprised Paige by asking for her hand in marriage. It was time to make it official!

Ready, Set, Plan!

Naturally, this newly engaged couple dove into planning their wedding day, with finding the perfect venue being a key step. When asked why they chose 22 Acres Farm, Paige appreciated the variety of locations available, offering the flexibility to tailor the day exactly as they envisioned. After all, a wedding day is about creating moments of joy, much like the sunshine that breaks through after a storm. The most important thing is ensuring your special day reflects your dreams, no matter the weather.

For the couples coming after them, Paige shared some advice for couples who are planning their own weddings. In her own words, she shared,

“Soak in all of the time planning, it goes fast!”

Something Borrowed

For most, these words refer to one of four items every wedding needs: something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue. Paige and Hunter fulfilled the ”something borrowed” requirement by employing several items from our Something Borrowed Room.

We know weddings can be costly, and the added stress of finding just the right décor can be a challenge! We created this offering with our couples in mind, and our rainy-day items in particular came in handy to ensure the desired ambiance was achieved.

Not to Fear, Plan B is Here! Rainy Day’s Sunshine!

As the big day approached, it became clearer and clearer that rain was likely—a major wrench in their plans to have an outdoor ceremony. With Plans A, and B in place, this happy couple continued preparing for their day.

When Paige and Hunter’s wedding day arrived, we were prepared for everything—or so we thought. Although we have all couples come up with an Inclement Weather Plan, sometimes we are still left to improvise. As we realized that a true outdoor ceremony would be difficult to pull off, we got busy making dreams come true.

By placing the archway at the edge of our patio area overlooking the romantic countryside, Paige, Hunter, and their guests were able to take in the natural beauty surrounding 22 Acres Farm during their ceremony and celebratory reception. Lights adorned the outer rim of the barn and lit the evening with an enchanting glow.

The Rainbow After the Rain

Following the romantic ceremony, guests mingled in the patio and lower level of our spacious barn for cocktail hour. The newly united Mr. and Mrs. Blackburn took the party upstairs to the upper level of our barn for mingling and dancing, enjoyed by all.

The vaulted ceilings provided ample space for lights and drapery adorning the reception hall, a perfect addition to the couple’s Boho inspired theme. Despite having to change plans several times, Paige and Hunter waltzed their way into happily ever after.
