The Fall Countryside Wedding of Emalee + Rylee
Fall in the countryside is a beautiful time to visit 22 Acres Farm, as it provides beautiful backdrops and cooler weather. This was one of the many reasons that late last September, surrounded by loved ones, Emalee and Rylee joined as husband and wife in our beautiful Columbus countryside.
Where Their Story Began
Emalee and Rylee’s story began just over eight years ago, when the two met at their summer job at the local pool. Emalee, an attendant and Rylee a lifeguard, they hit it off immediately and life together began. After nearly a decade together, the two were ready to take the next step in their lives together alongside their two dogs, Harley and Hazel.
The Proposal
When it came time to get down on one knee, Rylee wanted to keep things fun for his partner in crime. In her own words, Emalee shares about their engagement:
“He sent me on a scavenger hunt and at every location there was family waiting for me to send me to the next place and at the end I finally met with Rylee, and he proposed.”
And so, the Adventure Begins
Newly engaged and ready to start the rest of forever together, the happy couple got busy planning their special day. When deciding on decor for their wedding, Emalee and Rylee decided on a “modern farm and rustic” style.
When they stumbled upon 22 Acres Farm, the two shared, “The barn is beautiful, and we both fell in love with it.”
Time to Say, “I Do”
Emalee and Rylee were our first couple to utilize our unique countryside grain bin gazebo for their ceremony, using the entrance as the spot to become husband and wife. Surrounded by friends, family, and our beautiful barnyard and surrounding fields, these two said, “I Do,” kicking off a night of celebration and a lifetime of memories.
Décor + Celebrations
In addition to using the beautiful, custom-made cross that we made for one of our previous weddings, Emalee and Rylee used many items from our Something Borrowed Room. This room is available to all our couples at no additional cost, making wedding prep easier and less expensive—something we know is important for so many couples.
Following a cocktail hour, wedding guests welcomed Mr. and Mrs. Kelly and their wedding party to the reception area, followed by a delicious catered BBQ meal—and hours of dancing, toasts, laughter, and celebrations with the many friends, family, and loved ones surrounding them.
From all of us at 22 Acres Farm, we thank you for choosing us for your wedding-day celebrations. We are suckers for a good love story, and yours is no exception! Wishing you all the best in your lives together as husband and wife.
