A Romantic May Wedding

In the embrace of the soft warmth that late spring brings, Heather and Blake exchanged vows in a romantic May wedding last year at our enchanting Ohio barn venue. Although the couple had initially envisioned an outdoor ceremony, the bride’s enchantment with the Barn at 22 Acres Farm led them to choose the upper level as the setting for saying “I do.”

How it all Began

Blake and Heather originally met in middle school, where they became fast friends. Nevertheless, the two lost touch until an unexpected and chaotic mishap brought them back together years later, after graduation. One evening, Heather got her car stuck in a muddy field, and had no choice but to call for some help. Surprisingly, it was Blake who showed up to tow her out. This serendipitous turn of events allowed them to reconnect. The two started talking to each other again that night, and the rest is history!

The Couple’s Vision—The Ohio Barn Wedding of Their Dreams

Our picturesque grounds etched the pair’s desired theme into their hearts—a rustic, farm-themed wedding with plentiful greenery. They also sought an abundance of soft drapery, candles, and bright white accents, providing a refined and elegant contrast to the natural wood interiors. Tones of delicate rose, warm amber, and rich gold enveloped the entire affair.

The couple’s design choices were stunning, but what made their big day truly special was sharing their lovely ceremony with their beloved friends and family. They even honored their dearly departed loved ones with a gorgeous memorial display to ensure that all were present in spirit.

Special Touches From the Something Borrowed Room

Owing to the variety of items available in our Something Borrowed Room, we could provide much of the decor the couple needed to make their vision a reality. Most notably, they opted to use our whiskey barrels as a foundation for the dessert table and our wooden trunk for the memorial display.

We also provided greenery, wooden slabs, vases, dessert stands, and several other accessories. With our Something Borrowed Room, couples can relax and enjoy their day. We take care of everything, handpicking and preparing each requested item. From there, we organize the items in a convenient central location for setup. And when the fun is done, we even help with cleanup.

Eat, Drink, and Be Married

No modern wedding would be complete without plentiful food and drink. For their big day, Heather and Blake opted to use our Honey Hive Beverage Trailer to host their bartending services. Alongside their drinks, guests were treated to a buffet-style meal served at tables near the couple’s selected food truck. The combination of these two selections enhanced the charming, rustic atmosphere of the couple’s happy day.
